Also referred to as Discipline and Thematic Groups, the sectors we worked with were specifically chosen to meet the demands of our region.
Health and Social Care Worked across the NHS, Strategic Health Authority and the independent care sector, including social work, early years and the emergency health services.
Technology covered all types of technology, from automotive, construction, environmental and ICT, working with large and small businesses affected by technological change who need to learn new technologies.
Creative and Media encompassed Screen, TV and Media including art and design, publishing, creative and craft businesses. This sector supports any type of design, heritage and culture.
Public Sector and Services worked with all public sector organisations except Health (see above), with uniformed and emergency services included.
Cross Cutting Themes focused on Leadership and Management, IT and Enterprise. These common themes work across all other sectors, and are more generic areas of development led by a variety of large and small employers.
Progression and Qualifications included work on progression pathways, credit frameworks and agreements, where any of the above sectors are considered.
IAG and Student Support shared LLN developments with all regional IAG support agencies including Connexions, Aimhigher, Careers Services, Unionlearn and other employer-led groups.
