Lifelong Learning Network Meetings
The network has a variety of meetings that our partners, stakeholders and employers are welcome to attend. These are:
The Steering Group
This group is responsible for governance of the LLN and has been meeting regularly since 2006. Membership now gives greater representation of sectors within the Network. The group meets quarterly with Jill Ward, Director of the Lifelong Learning Network in order to:
- oversee progress of the Strategic Plan
- provide a forum to review the effectiveness of the LLN
- receive progress reports from the Project Group
- consider approaches to sustainability
- review the progress of the LLN in the context of the HE policy agenda
- consider the contribution of the LLN to the up-skilling of the sub-region
- establish links with other networks in the sub-region

Discipline Group meetings
The key feature of the LLN is its Sector, Thematic and Discipline Groups, through which significant development work takes place. Discipline Groups work to undertake a range of activities concerned with the development of current and new curriculum and progression relating to their sector.
It has been agreed that each group will be led by a university and the groups are:
