Employer Participation
We had both large and small regional Employers present their views on how to work successfully with the LLN in developing new awards for their employees.
Our Employer Liaison team visited employers to find out about each organisation’s educational needs and how employers might like to work with the Universities and colleges within the LLN.
It was important for the development of the LLN that we had as many employers in the network as possible from Staffordshire and Shropshire as the most important part of our work is that we heard the voice of the region, and understood the market needs for new work-based HE vocational qualifications.
We worked with those people who had responsibility for learning and development in our various sectors and themes:
- Technology
- Health and Care
- Creative and Media
- Public Sector and Services
- IT, Enterprise, Leadership and Management
- Information Advice, Guidance and Learner Support
- Progression and Qualifications
We were aware of the changes in government strategy in relation to HE and FE and formed a variety of working groups which informed the development of the LLN until our close in January 2011.
